Hmm. I've never logged a "trail run", but I have logged "treadmill" and I'm fairly sure they have been included in my home screen total.

Odd. Maybe I’ll have to the old ‘turn off and back on again’ trick :)

I just log things as a run too. I don't need different settings for a trail run

On older watches like mine, using trail run to avoid impact on the VO2Max calculation is worthwhile.

I make use of different settings as strava updates the shoes I’m wearing to my trail shoes (I only have one pair), and I’ve been experimenting with not including trail runs in the Garmin VO2 Max estimates. But it’s not a deal breaker at all.

Agree on the strava shoes thing too. Though I sometimes regret it as most of the time the one course I run which is trail is my local parkrun, and whilst it is definitely trail it doesn't need trail shoes!

On my watch I have different screens / fields set up for trail run vs road run, basically I tend to want different information depending on the kind of session I am doing.

Just tried it and had no issues. Posted on the reddit thread, but created a route and shared it via GPX to Connect as I would do normally.

I didn't do a complex route. Happy to test out here if you want to share the gpx file with me?
