Luckily I’m retired so it doesn’t matter but if I was still working a 2hr run on a Monday wouldn’t have worked

Well, this is a new one. Been for a run, done everything as normal and watch syncs fine but despite having the activity saved on it, the run is not uploading to Garmin connect. I can see all of the details on my watch but I can't seem to get them to transfer over and there doesn't seem to be any way to directly push the single activity after the fact.

I've tried restarting everything and trying again, even a WiFi sync but nowt...

Bemused and annoyed.

Try recording an activity for a few seconds then saving it and see if the sync works after that. Failing that, connect the watch to a computer, find the sulking activity on it, and upload manually to Connect via connect.garmin.com
If that doesn't work, there are a couple of sites that try to repair corrupt files so they'll upload, and a utility in the Garmin FIT SDK that does the same - I'll look those out for you if the first options don't work.

Son had a similar experience whilst on holiday recently. Think it got solved by following Badger's approach (though he may have installed Garmin Express, can't remember), but a PC was definitely involved.

Sadly I don't have a PC, looks like I may have to upload manually. I have looked through the logs and there was some sort of error as suggested by someone on the Garmin forum. It says "Destination failed - server is not able to process the uploaded file"

I quickly just did a fake strength activity which uploaded fine. Looks like it may be lost forever and I'll have to upload a manual entry.

Without a computer you're going to struggle, yes.

developer.garmin.com if it's useful to anyone else - the preamble explains what might be going on with Gooner's file.

Thanks for the advice, managed to get hold of a tablet/laptop thing for an hour and got it sorted in the end. Must have been an issue with my connection to the server at the time as the file uploaded fine when uploaded manually 🤷

That's good. I think you can get a situation where the watch thinks the file has uploaded but Connect hasn't got it, and the watch won't send it again because it had an apparently successful sync after the run.

So after breaking my Fenix 6X I called Garmin and they agreed to replace it for a fee, which at €180 and given that it was out of warranty I thought was a fair price, certainly cheaper than buying a new one. Was supposed to arrive within 15 working days, and that clock ran out early last week. Just called them to find out that they are our of stock of the 6X and don't know when it will be back in, so they will send me something else instead. The original suggestion was the Fenix 7, but I said that I had bought the 6X because of the larger screen to help with night-time navigation, so the woman has now booked in delivery of a 7X Pro Solar model instead. Just got to wait for it to turn up now! Frustrating that they never contacted to say it was out of stock, but not the worst resolution in the end.
