That'd be really useful, Pix. I'll hold off buying anything yet and do that when we catch up at parkrun. Thanks x

it's strange how we respond differently, the wrist hr on my fenix gives pretty much the same numbers as using the strap (which I stopped using as it is too damned uncomfortable and sometimes did very weird things if I got close to an electric fence) - plenty close enough for what I need anyway but it's rubbish at sensing my sleep and has way more confidence in my running ability than I do |

I had my Fenix 6x replaced under warranty at 2 years, and the new one was a lot more accurate on sleep than the old one. Might have been a newer revision of course, but did make me suspect that some of the variation people see is unit to unit.

NordRunner
I'm a very light build for a male and my wrist is about 150 mm. I use an Epix 6. For casual use with a silicone band it is on the third or fourth hole. For exercise it is on the 2nd or first hole. I'm used to the size and weight of the metal case. I did cut a bit off the strap. If I were younger and had better eyesight I might forgo the brilliant OLED screen and also use the smaller โsโ model, in favour of appearance and even longer battery life, or switch to the Forerunner series. But now that I have it I would never leave home without it! I used to think I had no need for the mapping when I had a Fenix 3, but the new one is very useful for new routes, and for Fetch games like WSW. |

My 245 battery is slowly but surely losing its lifespan so I'm stuck between wanting the 265 and 965. I may well use the maps, due to the number of unknown to me ROW through fields by me but I'm not sure I want them enough to justify the extra cost.

Sigh
Trying out the new jet lag adviser ahead of our flight home. We take off at 5:30pm Saturday (local time), it's currently 8 :45am Thursday. This is the advice. |
