Yeah, I've had some erratic heart rates recorded on mine too.
Mind you, I know I can sustain 209 bpm for about 30 mins because I've done it in the lab with an ecg A little spike never bothers me after that!

Well, I've finally done it. I ordered a 305 on line and expect to have it in a few days. I've been watching the prices and found the best price I have seen for a new in the box 305. I can't wait to fire it up and take it for a spin. I have added this thread to my favourites so I can reread all of the recommendations.

Thanks 2FF...I am suffering from buyer's remorse now. I'm going to return my 305 as soon as it arrives.

I'm waiting for all the trendy types to order their 405s and sell their little used 305s on ebay!

Welly, what would you pay for a new one, still in the box, never unwrapped?

I did a half marathon the other day. My Garmin helped me pace myself but I think I spent most of the run looking at it and analysing my run. One day I will do a run without it - just for fun!

EP,
Have you changed something like created a workout on the Garmin itself not through TC?
Or have you reinstalled TC?
It will ask you which one you want to keep. If you can remember which one has all your data then choose that one. If you choose the wrong one then you will only have access to the data created under that profile...

or even just changing a heart rate limit/zone (or hill or pace zone etc.) will have that effect.
As long as the unit name is the same, the data should be preserved and it's just the chosen settings overwrite the other set.
