Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I deleted all my training runs from the history too. Went for my run this morning... plugged the Garmin in to download and it wouldn't communicate with the PC at all.

Took me ages to get it to work, but finally did after resetting it and the PC too. I'm not sure I dare try deleting the history again :)

Was the Garmin switched off when in the cradle Santy?

Mine has to be switched off for it to work properly...

It usually uploads the info a lot quicker when the history has been deleted...

Yes it was switched off Ian. I tried it when it was turned on too after and it still didn't work.

I've used it both ways before and it's never been a problem. Was probably just the driver getting confused for some unknown reason.

Yeah sometimes it's best to just plug it into another USB port...

I used to find that when sweat dries on the contacts i sometimes had connection problems but its been ok since i started clening the contacts before placing it on the cradle.

Has anyone recorded over 200bpm on their Garmin?

Mine seems to max out at 199bpm - which could quite possibly becuase that's what I was doing but I've seen my HR go to 207 on my polar with a steady graph rising to that total

Is there a guarantee with the Garmin? Do you have to send anything off?

Yes Kieren. Frequently. Not that my heart beats at that pace, but the Garmin records it ;-)
