Filming was apparently unaffected by the SAG-AFTRA strikes, as the cast are, of course, mostly British and aren't in the union. I only got around to watching the series on DVD in September (found it for £1 in a local tat shop) and was immediately hooked. Even though I hated the last two seasons of Thrones, HotD reminded me why I fell in love with Westeros in the first place.
