Never read. Never watched. Son said it was quite good. Book 1 £2 on Kindle. Omg , it's addictive. Nowhere near Tolkein but draws you in. Dragon crack said one review. Indeed. G
Oh yeah! Love the two trailers. Team Black for me.
Need to rewatch S1 before this comes out.
HappyG, the books are epic, there’s so much in them. Series 1 of GOT follows book 1 pretty closely but they get further apart as they go on! And of course the books aren’t finished so the final two series of GOT are possibly not how the books will end.
It was weird in that a lot of the initial reviews were saying that ROP was going to blow HOD out of the water. I was undecided after the 1st couple of episodes but by the end of both series I really enjoyed HOD and was basically hate watching ROP!
Yeah I continued watching but mostly because my partner was enjoying it, but he’s never seen GoT. I’m going to see if he wants to try HotD when I rewatch
Another series set in the world of Westeros is in development. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on a series of novellas that George R. R. Martin wrote for various fantasy anthologies. 3 have been published, but Martin claims to have the plots for 9 more worked out.
The 2 leads have just been cast and filming will return to Belfast. It seems like both this and HotD are going to run on alternating years.
