There was a thread. 100% sure of that. Seems to have vanished.
No idea if the show will feed an entire thread, but just watched the latest episode.
Holy cow.

What an episode! I didn't see that coming. I thought it was going a bit too well but even so! I have only watched this series so far, missed the first two series but I am currently reading my way through the books, so it's a bit jumbled but OK and I'm almost caught up. What will we get next week for the season finale?

I have a feeling that next week will be just wrapping things up/updating. It was the same in series two. Huge battle in ep 9, then the last episode was just going round each of the (many!) groups and setting them up for series three.
I'm not sure you can top this episode the following week really. And there doesn't seem any battles imminent, given what has just happened.

Who's your favourite characters? I like the Imp the best, he is so funny. What a great actor.

Tyrion is indeed ace.
I was fast warming to the Uncle of the Stark kid as well, but that's gone out the window.
Jorah is great as well, although sharing screen tiome with Daenerys obviously has it's advantages
So many characaters though, most of them good.

Well it was certainly a shocker! I'd said to my OH last week that Season 3 seemed quite stale in comparison to the previous 2 seasons. Having read the books, he had to control himself not to give anything away and just told me it gets better. I think "better" may have been the wrong word, but still..
Fave characters - I know I'm usually in the minority on this one, but I'm a big fan of Sansa. She may not be in the midst of battles with axes and swords, but she's been in an impossible position since the end of season 2 - not quite houseguest, not quite prisoner, sort-of hostage. It takes a hell of a lot of courage to be as stoical and graceful as she has been (especially at such a young age), in the face of a very powerful family who are the enemy of your own.
Also, Daenerys and her dragons are awesome

Im so glad this thread finally exists. I've been tempted to start one up for a couple of weeks.
I think (and I dont know, Im only on book 2) that the uncle survived? He went out just before it all kicked off so I suspect he might have escaped. As I understand it, he is quite well known in Westeros for his awesomeness as a knight, I cant imagine he would have died off screen. Who bloody knows with this programme though.
Is this a thread where we can openly talk about what has happened in the show so far even though there may be people who havent see the lastest episode yet?

I like Charlie Brooker's observation about the amount of comments about GoT compared to goings on in say Turkey. Geeks only like politics in drama, with swords, dwarfs, mythical beasts, magic beans, etc etc
