All of the above ❤️ Plus not having to dodge around people walking in the fast lane, realising you can swim a long way without having to push off a wall every 25m, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Can't wait to get to our lake again. In other news, I did my first CSS test last night. Now I need to work out what to do with the result! |

Oh Daz. Let me see….peace, calm, joy, beauty, nature, grass against sky, sun on water, a hundred different colour greens in the water, friends, community, elements, raindrops, being a starfish floating on the surface with a big sky above me, being a shark slicing through the water, being a gentle jellyfish bobbing around taking it all in, being strong against the chop…being me a wetsuit wearing water creature with attitude. Y’know. It’s sort of ok. 😉 |

![]() Did we convince you yet? Patterns in the water, waterboatmen on your eye level, birds, the feeling that you could be alone but you are absolutely not. |

"I am open to try it as see lots or people love it. What does it bring that pool swimming doesnt!?" Dysentry ![]() Particularly if you live in some Water company areas..... (and yes, I'm only joking. Sort of.) |

Night swims, dawn swims, cold water warm air, warm water cold air, every swim is different.

Daz Love ignore rf_fozzy. He's talking shit! Far more likely to pick something up in a portaloo at race than in OW. And that's from someone that has swum in the Thames in the middle of London. Everything everyone has said. Wetsuits are optional and personal preference. I'm not a fan but get why many do like them. I do use one if I want to get some distance and time in when the water is cooler but love love love the freedom of movement without one |

I don’t think you can wholly ignore the water quality issue when major events have been cancelled due to it. But there are lots of places where it’s not an issue. |
