Morning all
Grumpy fat burd here lol
Trying to get things back under control from today, it IS Monday after all and the only day we can ever start a 'diet'.
I've not been going overboard just not really paying attention to what I'm eating and grazing my way pretty much through the whole day.

Wouldn't it! My highest ever weight increase was 10lb in 24 hours - Mr GM was there to verify the gain. He couldn't believe it, but I'm used to putting on rapidly. I can usually lose up to 8lb on the first week of a diet but it's a fight for every lb after that. I don't lose if I eat over 1200 calories a day, despite exercising, so that's why BSD suits me. I have a very low BMR

I am going to log neither gain nor loss for this week. In fact, the needle on the scales was very fractionally below 9st but it wasn't definite enough to got to the lb below. I'm quite relieved as I've had many more carbs in the last few days, and they might still come back to bite me, but for now sts is fine.

I find if I decrease my cals too low it’s counter productive. I’m happily managing on an avg around 1800 a day
I used to try to keep a %net every day now I just try to eat consistently and I know I’ll be more hungry day after a long run so don’t worry as much if I don’t eat enough calories one day as it balances out. I’m taking the win while it’s working.

2.5lb off in 2.5 weeks. Pleased, but such hard work. I may have to leave the Baking thread again.

Afternoon folks. Well done on the losses. I weighed myself this morning and I was the same as I was last Monday morning . I did have an evening off plan on Saturday and had pasta and a couple of drinks. Today I took my breakfast to work and was okay but came home far too hungry at 2pm so scrambled lunch together and now having my latte and a couple of roses. Don’t know what to do for the best. I have shopped to be on plan this week but need to address lunch times.

That's a disappointment for you LG However, in my first week of logging on here I actually gained 3lbs so all is not lost if you've stayed the same. Maybe, as you have suggested, portion size can be an issue. If you are following the recipes in the BSD recipe book, the calorie counts always look generously low to me, and if it's a dish for 4 but you've not halved or quartered it, it could be a lot more calories than you think.
2pm is pretty late for lunch, especially if you ate your breakfast early. In the first few weeks of doing this plan I was having an early lunch (midday) and even then, had a mid-afternoon slump which a few walnuts or even a square of dark chocolate with a cup of tea, to get me through to my main meal in the evening. Maybe it would be worth re-calibrating when you eat to help get your body into weight-losing mode?

Thanks LD. I normally have breakfast at 7am and then lunch 12.30 but because last week I was taking breakfast and lunch later I thought I would manage today so breakfast was 8.15 and lunch was nearer 2.15 so will juggle about this week.
