Morning :)

How are we doing, folks?
I'm struggling a bit, managing a calorie deficit each day but some days only just.
mid-week I thought I'd have a lb loss to report, then the scales bounced up and have now settled to a 0.2lb loss, which is also about the moving average so I'll log it on the spready.
Can't eat any less, need to move more.

Blissfully ignorant at the moment until I can start moving properly again

I'm doing better this week than last - not difficult. Despite still having the occasional "treat" - a bit of simnel cake and a creme egg each day - I've lost 4 of the 7lb I put on last week. We'll see where I am on Monday....

I wouldn't say I'm struggling, but I have upped my carb intake a bit. I'm still getting the giddy feeling when I get up from sitting and it's a bit unpleasant so I'm seeing if adding a few carbs helps. I'm weighing first thing every morning and there's been no increase- as soon as there is (and if I'm still getting the giddiness) I'll reconsider.

Must say I’ve struggled to stay on the straight and narrow but still better than I was. OH has lost a couple of pounds so he is happy.
My new Friday night seems to be the chicken Laksa :-) instead of our usual baked tattie with beans & cheese

I don’t understand how I’ve lost 4lb this week. I’ve hot HCB for breakfast for a few days, fish n chips on Friday, Christmas pudding, a bottle of wine, chocolate and some Doritos yesterday. I ate more “ off plan” last week than the week before when I put on 7lb. My body is very odd!
I weigh less than I did at the end of February so March was just one of those months. I’ve decided that running every day leads to weight gain 😆

That's very confusing for you GM :-) Might it be the old 'muscle weighs more than fat' so the running every day has worked against you in that!

I've flatlined again this week. I'm OK with that as I've definitely eaten more carbs and in particular, sweet stuff this last week. But the simnel cake is all gone and I won't be buying any more HCBs this year so I hope to resume the downward curve on my graph next week :-)

We know what helps the lbs to come off so a week with fewer carbs will likely give that downward curve next week, LD. A week of now and again is not a bad thing.

I made the roast chicken thighs with lemon, from the FAST recipe book. It is delicious. We’ll defo have it again. Thighs seem to cook better and be more tasty than fillets.
