Well done Fleecy, surprised you have anything left or do you find yourself more ruthless each time

I found her online, there’s a website with a bunch of different people you can search by area. Mine is fab, she’s been coming for a few years now as we had 20+ years of crap including kids stuff to get rid of. We did a room at a time every few months and once we’d done the house she’s come every 6 months for maintenance. If could be bothered eBaying stuff it would have paid for itself too.

I’ve always been ruthless Owlie, my problem is other people’s stuff but I’ve managed that over the years and even hoarders eventually get better about voluntarily getting rid of things once the place looks better. She does work with hoarders and all sorts though.

Thanks! *potters off to look for local declutterers*
I don't mind Ebay and local selling Facebook pages- they have more or less paid for SweetPea's school expedition this year. I'm just not very good at getting rid of stuff

I’m astounded that there are qualifications and an organisation for being a declutterer!

I like the distinction between a hoarder and a clutterbug.

Help advice and support for declutterers

Special May Challenge

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
