Forgive me declutteres for I have failed.... I have relented and put stuff in the loft I cannot cope with the horrendous mess I have disposed of masses of stuff Marie Curie will either love me or hate me on Tuesday.
My colleague said she’d have my books she may regret that when they turn up! Can’t say I’m feeling better yet but getting there

That strategy has been working but I’m struggling so much with the mess we have almost no storage in the house and what we have isn’t being utilised to its best because we’re constantly just moving things. I have the new bedroom now fully filled but also storing stuff. We have been quite ruthless and put out so much for the charity pick up on tuesday so every little helps eh. Thanks.

I've not been on this thread for a while, so please excuse me if this has already been discussed. Just got netflix. To Marie Kondo or not? Is her stuff useful or stress inducing?

I’m not sure I can bring myself to watch Marie Kondo. Though when there was a programme called ‘Life Laundry’ I used to watch and enjoy. Is it at all similar?

I like it. It’s her visiting someone’s home and helping them. It does cover her methods but is more about the family story and the change the decluttering brings to their happiness.

3 bags of stuff went out for Marie Curie this morning, a massive bag of books came to my colleague at work, a smaller bag of books earmarked for the local church book sale and 2 boxes to go to the local charity shop at the weekend.
I had a clear out in the bathroom - well not cleared out but moved into a box but de-clutters the window sill.
I have (with a massive struggle) got a couple of pairs of shoes earmarked for re-homing and I am going to clear the 3 massive shoe storage bags into something more manageable.
We put stuff back in the loft that needs sorting but it wasn't helping being out so it has been sidelined for another time. I have to stop being so emotional about things.

My declutterer came today, we filled her car to the brim with lots of stuff, hooray. 2 bags of rubbish and 2 of recycling as well. I think this is the second or third go round some of the rooms, it’s amazing how you just find more layers. I highly recommend working with her, she’s brilliant and organised and keeps me motivated for 3 hours straight when I’d wander off after 30 minutes left to my own devices.
