After last year’s rather tentative wardrobe clearance, the second attempt has produced three and a half charity bags full of clothes plus a blue ikea bag full of shoes (years of never getting rid of anything and an increase in foot width after nearly a decade of running!). I can now find things, but I’ve realised that I have a ridiculous amount of merino (but it’s useful and comfortable and multipurpose, and it was all on sale...) 🙄

I stuck Marie Kondo’s Netflix series on the tablet while sorting, so I acquired a practical new method of folding and the realisation that I’m a very amateur hoarder compared to some 😮.

Never going to pile all my books in one place to sort out, though - there isn’t physically space to do it in this house.

I’ve been watching Marie Kondo too. Makes me want to sort out every cupboard and drawer again.

I Kondo'd my drawers a few weeks ago. It was the most satisfying time I've had in the bedroom for a long time ;)

Quite a few charities appeal for jewellery, even broken bits and pieces. I culled my earring box recently and sent off several pairs which I thought I was unlikely ever to want to wear again.

Help advice and support for declutterers

Special May Challenge

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
