That sounds interesting Meglet. The photos were mostly copies from me, my sister and my brother and I probably have copies tucked away somewhere too. Sis had looked through when she was here and took any she was interested in.

I rummaged elsewhere this afternoon and have found a few more bits and pieces to get out of the house, either charity shop or auction with a couple of boxes going in the bin.

Mr W has decided to clear out the hall cupboard while I'm at work. The place where I hide all the things that are going to be sold/donated. He says he won't throw away anything that isn't his. I'm more worried T7 will reclaim things I've managed to remove!

3 boxes to charity shop today and more recently, a load of stuff in the bin, a couple of shoeboxes of postcards in the recycling bin and a couple of lots for auction.

I still have to do the loft, and now T1's bedroom has fallen under my remit - because SOMEBODY WHO IS NOT ME promised her that it would be redecorated for when she comes home for Christmas!

Enforced decluttering here as we're moving house. There's a lot of stuff that we've allowed to limp on, so I'll be getting lots of shiny new stuff once we're settled, including an office chair and a new ironing board (We know how to live it up).

God my garage is depressing. I have to get in there sometime soon and make some space. Number 1 task is getting rid of the kids' old bikes tat they have outgrown. The general clutter isn't helped by OH decorating and then dumping the stuff she has used back in the garage without tidying it away. It's all on the floor.

I have just started decluttering using the konmari method where I sort all of my stuff out by category and only keep the stuff that sparks joy. So far I have gone through all of my clothes and loads went to charity and clothes bank. Books category is next.

Just dumped my collection of sailing magazines. I think I'm beginning to realise that I won't ever need some of this stuff again

I just arranged for someone to come and take away some rusty bikes and the bags of tiles and rubble the decorators left behind. I ditched about 4 bags of books and 2 of clothes last week but the hunt for stuff to throw out continues relentlessly.

We attacked the conservatory last weekend. It used to be the kids’ playroom and there’s still a floor-to-ceiling bookcase full of their stuff. Apart from the important stuff which they’ve abandoned like qualification and training certs, we got rid of most of it and cleared all the junk that had accumulated in there recently. It almost looks like a room we can use now!
This weekend I plan to attack the shelves above the hanging rails in our wardrobe. :)

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
