There's some stuff in our loft I brought home from work when I left 3 years ago. Erm, actually 4 years ago :-O. It wasn't a happy time, and even the idea of sorting it out still makes me teary. But I can't let anyone else do it.

Thanks Pen! I know in theory if it hasn't been needed it can go, but I worry! I'll get Mr W to get it down one day - before the decs need to come down ;-) - and sit with the shredder and gin

Living in a ground floor flat I don't have a loft. I have a shed where I've put stuff one day I'll get it out and decide what to use the shed for.

Brought one bag full of stuff to charity shop before work today

This includes dresses not worn in years that are too small for me

Two big bags of clothes, a really crap lamp, a broken metal thing and something else I forget all dropped off at the tip. The clutter keeps coming!

Hey :-) First time on this thread. Attempting to declutter both my house in preparation for hopefully moving next year, and my Dad's house after he died earlier this year.

Does anyone know if there is a charity that takes old motorbike helmets e.g. for first aid practice? I tried St John Ambulance but they weren't interested. They're not safe for actually riding with as they are too old now but it seems a shame for them to go entirely to waste.

".... This month, each of you must get rid of one thing on the first day. On the second, two things. Three items on the third. So forth, and so on. Anything can go! Clothes, furniture, electronics, tools, decorations, etc. Donate, sell, or trash. Whatever you do, each material possession must be out of your house—and out of your life—by midnight each day."
