Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I played Rc7+ followed by d7 and won pretty quickly (this was against JoeCarr28)

The better move that mates slightly faster is Qf3! I don’t know how good you would have to be to find that out for yourself. I had no idea until I looked at the analysis.

Haven't tried to analyse myself, but that makes sense now you mention it. Sacrifice queen, then pawn fork to promote to another queen? King can't move in front as bishop is on diagonal.

I wish I could see good sacrifices, lol. Not sure I've ever done one.

Qf3 is certainly an unusual idea to distract the black bishop away from its defensive duties - I wouldn’t have worked that out....but maybe in a future game hopefully

Played a rapid game against a French flagged random.

I was on top for most of the game then made a mistake.

He thought he could finish and sent me some laughing face emojis, then couldn't finish with the tiny amount of time left. Then times out handing me the win.

I might have sent emojis back.

Nice Mr D, did our French friend enjoy the banter?
