Beth Harmon lost to scholar's mate too, GM, I'm expecting your chess development to be similar!

I missed that post yesterday by Salty (JamHam) saying about his 2nd game against Runners.

His opponent did execute a very neat mating attack in the position below.

JamHam playing white understandably takes material with BxR, but how does his Runners Opp finish the game as black?

Thanks to Salty for the example & well done on winning the other game:)

I already looked yesterday and it was a beautiful counter attack, seeing your opponent's plan and turning it against them. Castling used as an attacking strategy. Not sure I'd see that in a game. SD was up until the bishop move.

I’m not sure what move instead of BxR I can play to escape the threat SPR? That’s part 2 of today’s problem - white to play & survive.

Salty’s opp said he expected him to give up Queen for 2 rooks a few moves before, but felt that his knight would still be ‘annoying’

Computer says Rfd1. Stops Qd5 which hopefully gives you the time to defend. Didn't check whether it's only temporary prevention though.

My first instinct was Nh3+,Kh1, but I’m not sure where to go from there.

Could then play Qg4 or Qd4 with the aim of driving it in towards the K somehow.
