I’ve got a Renault Trafic, long wheel base, so I wouldn’t call it a small campervan as such. A neighbour has a Mazda Bongo Frendee and loves it. 4.6m long. |

I know a couple of people with Bongo Frendees and they love them. I get the impression there’s a good “club scene” associated with them.

That's what we are thinking Rosehip..going to do some research over the next week or so. 2018 reg (so the new van issues have been ironed out ) Ducato 6M based swift 122, pretty much same layout as GM's van Wouldn't want anything any bigger, would have liked a 5.4 m van but sleeping transverse wouldn't work for us. I love it, it's perfect for us. plenty of lounging/changing space when in day mode and making the bed up at night takes a minute. Luckily we chose the right van first time, so plan to keep this for the next 10 years. Getting an extra solar panel put on this week and swapping the battery for LiFePO4 - so we can off-grid for longer. |

That's what we would love but sadly would be out of our price range at the moment Will probably end up with another VW or similar size and then will be our car too for a fee years |

-price is bonkers at the moment - one same spec and year as ours is up for nearly 10k more than I paid for it two years ago. There are some older van bargains, but they are few and far between. If we had the skills I would have converted one ourselves, but when you see the price of things like the flyscreens and fridges now then the built price is almost understandable |

Ours is the Elddis CV20 and we love the zie and layout. It's perfect for our needs - big enough for two adults plus dog and small enough to get down country lanes and park in car park bays. brownhills.co.uk Crackers prices now though - up £20k since we ordered ours in September 2021 |

We had a van about 12 years ago or so, and we bought our new one right at the what I thought was the top of the market during Covid. But a similar one, the same age, in a similar condition/mileage is now more expensive on the forecourt. It’s bonkers.
