We are in the queue for the ferry home. Something like 3,100 miles in 10 weeks around Spain. I love the freedom of the campervan. |

The oven in our Motorhome has stopped working! 🙁 Bacon and eggs instead of fish pie for our last meal on site tonight. |

How frustrating but good you had a reserve We are on our last night at a CL site just outside of Malmesbury and have had a lovely day today. Been to Lacock Village and then to purchase favorite pub in Devizes, the 3 Magpies, where we finally met Alice the Camel |

Feeling pleased this morning. I bought a new fridge for our van the other week and couldn't get the bugger going on 12v. Fine on 240. Had a new mobile electrician round just now. Found the issue, dodgy connection and rather luckily, a reversed polarity on the wiring that he discovered before plugging in, phew!! A nice chap and a reasonable price ($120 or 60 quid in UK cash monies). Now we can get ready to head off again in a few weeks.

I’ve been away for 3.5 weeks and then ill with a bad cold for 10 days and in that time the van hasn’t moved. Jumped in it today and it started first time, as expected, but as I pulled water came into the passenger footwell, and a few seconds later, started dripping through the roof at the front (it’s a pop top). It’s obviously been collecting rainwater whilst stood there unused, which is not a problem I’ve had before. It’s usually parked facing up a slight uphill, but I left it facing down a slight downhill this time, so maybe that’s highlighted a problem. On a bit of inspection, there is a rubber cover over the door hinge, and that was very wet inside, and I think basically full of water. I’ve dried that out and can’t see any rust, so okay. I’ve popped the roof and can’t see anything wrong with a seal - no cracks and no blocked drainage holes that I can see. We have had a lot of rain in the 5 weeks it’s been stood but I’ll need to keep an eye on it - and park it up the slope instead of down Or if there is anything I should check please let me know, otherwise I may ask my chap to look at it when it’s serviced in June. |

Hopefully it will all be ok now Big_G We're planning a weekend in Oxford (pub stay as the campsite has permanently closed) with hopefully Oxford parkrun, and an O for my alphabet. I got a U there at University parks early last year. My alphabet is a very slow work in progress. |
