Yes, not 100% sure but think it sold food aswell as having a bar with pool table etc.
Sure it's only a 1m walk over a land rover trail into Elie itself which had a couple of nice bars/restaurants. Just remember to take a torch for coming back.

Indeed. Nothing concrete until we have it, but so far:
A weekend visit to Neuschwanstein castle and the town of Füssen - this isn't far from home and should serve as a good shakedown trip. A weekend in Dresden and on the way back south a stopover in Regensburg the night before I do the marathon. A week in Switzerland for when I do the Eiger 50k ultra. A ~26 day Eastern European tour from Mid August.
