In Dunkeld for the weekend on an actual campsite. Usually do a night or 2 in the van parked up somewhere random. Finding the campsite experience a bit strange.

Forest plodder, thanks. I’ll check those out.

Had 2 nights at a CL on the Devon-Cornwall border. The site was in Devon, but a few hundred metres down the road was an old stone bridge crossing the river, and then I was in Cornwall. Did a couple of runs, hilly in places, on the types of country roads with grass/moss down the middle of the road. Came across Esther, a Border Terrierk on one of them, who was initially a bit shouty, but I won her over.

As for the site, it had a field for the dogs, was. really quiet, incredibly clean, for adults only, and I think what swung it for OH was that there was a free cream tea (well, scones, cream and jam, anyway). We visited Boscastle, which was very nice, especially the walks over the headland, and also Cotehele and had a nice couple of nights away in between OH’s work days. I picked her up from work at 5pm on Wednesday, we were set up on the site before 7pm, and it was nice to get away.
