Looking ahead to next year :-) Does anyone have any extremely early thoughts about how they'll approach it? Same distance, different strategy? If so what will you change? Different distance?

At the moment my vaguest of vague thoughts about it are either to see how far I can go with the mile, or properly plan out a go at the full thing or the 5k.

I think my main error was in not fuelling properly - my legs didnโ€™t want to go past 22 miles fuelled solely on crisps, two small chocolates and two slices of melon.

Yeah, similar issue here. I did my first lap having got out of bed 15 minutes prior. No hydrating, no breakfast.

Between laps 1 & 2, and between 2 & 3 I had two very small portions of porridge, then I ate one waffle between laps 4 & 5 and I just think it wasn't enough food.

I'll also probably vary my route rather than running the same lap each time.

And lastly, hopefully next time it won't be 26ยฐ!

I'm already wondering if anyone knows of a friendly campsite we could potentially take over for the weekend ............

I didn't know what fuelling / training to do and thought general fitness from a big event a few weeks ago would see me through. I didn't drink enough on the first few laps. I did have a good few lap alternatives mapped and really enjoyed seeing how other folks were getting on. Roll on next year (and my physio appointment to sort this leg out!)

@Goofee @JustCommando! we are very close by, we could try and organise a Berkshire event. I guess the only think about this is we would have to chose where to hold it which had access to different length routes and could we available for at least 30 hours!

@Gromit

Campsite WITH A HOTEL next door, is that? No chance of me spending any time in a tent.

A campsite for the weekend would be fab @Gromit -

I remember bookmarking a fairly central one when we were talking about a camping meet-up a year or three ago, but can't remember where on earth it was!

The Rules
1) You must run or walk your chosen distance (a choice of 4.167 miles, 5k, 2 miles or 1 mile) within each hour e.g. 9-9.59am, 10-10.59am, 11-11.59am.
2) Each participant must visit Fetch and hit the "Completed it mate!" link before the hour ends: fetcheveryone.com/flaps-checkin.php
