Two minutes after I wrote that I had a notification on my phone that half of people with symptoms (I assume not tested) aren't self-isolating! That'll be it then.

Although university is not starting back up, a number of students have returned back to their rented accommodation to have independence from their families!!!

I would guess each person has their own definition of what self isolating means

UC I think it's only in England you can use the toilet. Nicola specifically said that you shouldn't go for a visit that might mean you would need to use the bathroom. Honesty it's so confusing having more than one set of rules, but then we use our own common sense so yes hand sanitizer and wipes.

v'rap - you can just pay him (a pittance) to clean the loo ... then he's your cleaner and it's all OK. Isn't it?

Or he can be coming 'to test readiness' for Monday? Just to be safe, like any good adviser would.

I was going to say 'test his eyesight', but that and loos doesn't bode well.

It’s only confusing if you take note of all the guidance. I’ve abandoned the UK (English) briefings as they are not relevant to me and frankly were infuriatingly waffly and nonsensical. I watch FM briefing and look at Scottish Government website for details of guidance. Simple.
