So near, but so far Rosehip - maybe that's what's happening to it all then. If you get some xanthan gum you can bake with it. Maybe that's where it's all going?

LMH - we have a wholesaler near us who is opening to the public in the afternoon. I got 3Kg of standard flour but he also sells gluten free. I found out via a local support page on FB so might be worth looking around.

Hipps - are you able to have food delivered to your hotel? Lots of local restaurants here have made arrangements for delivery and we have done this every Saturday. Having pizza cooked by my son again this week.

um
Can I ask a stats question?
The numbers don't seem to add up for me.

Daily positive test rate : 2 to 3,000
ONS & KCL estimate of new daily infections : 8 - 9,000
Gov't estimate of total infections : 135,000
Total deaths per day : 3-400

On the daily infections - why is ONS & KCL so much more than the test rate? And if KCL 'app' thinks you're infected, wouldn't you get a test? So why are approx 6,000 people being tagged by KCL as likely, but not getting tested? Or are they getting tested and negative?

Has the mortality rate dropped to below 0.5 % ? (assuming it was ~1% at the peak)

um
And the English Track & Trace - if you are asked/instructed to isolate, and WFH is not possible, does that (since it's an instruction by NHS) count as 'officially signed off sick' ?
Or are you left at the mercy of your employer?

I assume you can download an isolation note from 111 website, the same as if the household is isolating due to a case in the house

USB . Will eat their stuff or cold stuff I've organised myself. I'm just being a grumpy mare as not in control of what I eat. My issue.
Could have had a full English for 7 weeks lol

um - some people with symptoms may feel to too poorly to drive to get a test (I was on our swabbing station when a colleague came through and she looked awful), testing stations are designed to be drive through and may be several miles away (my town has had a mobile one a couple of times but otherwise we are looking at 10 miles plus to travel)
