Agree regarding indoor things opening. I was happy shopping in the town market today. Entry and exit points, one way traffic and socially distanced. Fine. I can't wait to incorporate a country pub into a walk, but ordering from one hatch, collecting from another and sitting spaced out in a sunny beer garden. If the only holiday I have is camping, that's fine too and pretty risk free. But hotels, shops, crowded bars? No thanks.

Tim - once I return to normal work pattern it has to be weekends but when I need to go I will try my usual after 3 on a Sunday. We need to go to JL to discuss a bag that broke after 7 months use so fingers crossed.

This is NOT aimed at anyone on this thread, just a general tongue-in-cheek comment.
I wonder if people will stop drinking too much alcohol, stop smoking, stop overeating, etc? All result directly in huge numbers of deaths each year (plus contribute to many more) and massive cost to the NHS.
Or whether those self-same people will permanently avoid all close contact forever, for fear that they will catch normal influenza - another big killer despite vaccines?

Happy - certainly in England you would be limited to one other person, more than that is contrary to teh guidelines but if in Scotland the guidance is one other household then as long as your running friends live together you should be ok.
I'm glad there's good news for your son Baz.
As my clinically vulnerable status is unchanged and I'm not seeing how any of the currently announced loosening of restrictions makes any sense for me, my risk remains the same.

um, that is what we have found in the past but when my husband whose bag it is has had an exchange of emails with them they stuck to the line of it being longer than 6 months and therefore not an issue. That is why we want to go into store where it will be easier to escalate to a manager.

My Garmin broke and I called they had a new one with me the following day. I am finding emails just get lost in space. Good luck either way.

On my run today I was finally provoked into saying something to two young men whose behaviour forced me to run through the edge of young crops. They had planted themselves right on the footpath with their disposable barbecue despite there being plenty of open space on the edge of our estate 200m away. I was listening to the radio through earphones so couldn't hear their response but I was fuming.

Been to work today OMG I felt like a real person! I only got as far as security where I met out IT person and I picked up my new (replacement) laptop but seeing colleagues (all 4 of them) was lovely. I had the roof down on the car and I called to the garden centre on way back to buy a plant for our neighbours as they had to have their dog pts on Tuesday. Everyone very considerate and it felt almost normal.
Wondering what tonight will bring.
TM your pub solution would be just amazing wouldn’t it would rely on social distancing and no room at the inn but god it would be good. So Tim happy to do what I can to be as healthy as I can but giving up alcohol ... mmm This is my risk I’m prepared to take. I don’t drink excessive so hopefully I won’t be bothering NHS with any health related incidents.
