I'd sadly agree with the others here exhausted after two mile walk means that you are taking a huge risk.

Just to add my own voice to those advising caution to beebop. I left it over a month before I tried even a short run. Initially, I thought I was recovering ok, and managed a few short easy runs - nothing like I'd been before, but I was doing ok for maybe a couple of months. And then one day, I went out - and it was like somebody had pulled out my batteries. Here I am 3.5 years later and on a *really* good day, I can jog for about a minute. Your mileage may vary, of course - I have no interest in telling you what to do. All I can say is that you really, really, REALLY don't want to end up like me. |

A marathon is tough for runners who have trained well and are healthy. Doing one just weeks after Covid doesn't sound a good idea to me. You aren't likely to enjoy it for starters and the medium to long term risks are proper serious. I wasn't that ill in mid-June but feel I've only really shaken off the after-effects this month, and I think I was quite sensible

Same here! I know I am also undergoing cancer treatment, but regardless of that, I am taking a mighty long time to shrug off this "cold" and am going with it, not against it. Largely learning from the experiences of people on here. |

Just coming on here to vent. Been to stay with daughter for the weekend. She didn’t seem well on Sunday, so we left her to rest and decamped to a hotel. But yesterday spent much of the day shopping in IKEA with her and then building the flatpacks. On out way home today she messaged to say someone at her work had tested positive so she was going to get some tests just in case You can guess what happened. I’m supposed to be visiting and helping mum for a couple of days, going to a funeral on Friday and then going away for a few days Any clues what the average incubation period is? *sighs* |

In the past I've always reckoned about 5 days, although it could be less. On the other hand, you may not actually contract it, this time. |

beebop , if you normally enjoy your running and value your health please, please do not attempt a marathon in 3 weeks time. It’s really not worth it. I never was a fastie or much into distance but I am still finding it hard nearly 2 years on. |
