I made the point about LFT/PCR a while back. Never did a PCR either. Loads of people we know round here have just got it for the first time, including some pretty elderly and vulnerable ones. |

I only had an LFT not PCR and it only lasted one day, minimal symptoms, so maybe even a false positive?

When I created the poll last year I think most folk were getting PCRs. It's only a bit of fun, so tick any of the Yes or Maybe that you like. You're not a No! G

I changed my answer to the top one as I felt sure a PCR would have confirmed 10 days worth of LFT positives. Out of the blue I tested negative last night. I didn't quite believe it so redid the test an hour later, taking more time over every step and it still came out negative. Will be masking indoors everywhere from now on, it's no inconvenience to me whereas being infected definitely was. |

Still negative here. I'm testing once a week for work purposes still, I know we were exposed last weekend as three of the friends we shared the house with tested positive last Sunday, but we seem to have swerved it.

Mine came back negative today, in fact I did 2. As I wanted to be sure after coughing in the night. Still off work as not quite up to going in. Off tomorrow too, then will see how things are.

As jda says, it’s taking its toll on the elderly. My dad’s friend died on Saturday (from Covid). Granted, he was in his mid 80s, but he had no underlying health problems, was very fit for a man of his age, and had had 4 vaccinations.
