That is so sad, Pix. My mum has her 81st birthday tomorrow. She’s recently got back from a holiday on Mallorca with a friend. Still goes out for a walk every day. Tomorrow me and my sister are taking her out for afternoon tea to celebrate. Her memory isn’t 100% but otherwise, health wise she’s doing pretty well. She’s started paying someone to help with the gardening work she can’t do any more so works within her limits. |

It is very sad that some people are still so fearful that they barely leave the house We have some in our audience who are too scared to come back to concerts.

Good news Purps. Unfortunately I think that part of the fear is well founded as not everyone is prepared to follow the guidance and self isolate if positive as they 'don't have to' and of course with people being encouraged not to test they can also convince themselves that it's 'just hayfever' or 'just a cold'. I went to the cinema on Saturday and spent two hours sitting a seat away from a child who coughed continuously. Never mind Covid, why on earth would anyone think it was ok to take them out? My guess is that the tickets had been paid for in advance. |

I am just back from a long weekend in Oxford (via London) and feel anxious about having caught it. I was sat next to a woman who coughed all the way home on the flight last night. Going to avoid seeing people as much as I can over the next few days anyway.

That is sad news, Tikka. I think it is confusing about whether or not to self isolate after a positive lateral flow test. I did but Mr Ness said I didn’t need to. I waited until I got a negative before going out. I just didn’t want to pass it on to anyone else! Think that might be more difficult in the long run. Particularly for people who have full time jobs. |

There's no 'need' to Ness as it's not law but this is the guidance: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/self-isolation-and-treatment/when-to-self-isolate-and-what-to-do/#:~:text=You%20should%3A-,try%20to%20stay%20at%20home%20and%20avoid%20contact%20with%20other,had%20a%20COVID%2D19%20vaccine

Don't know why that didn't make a link but it's on the NHS website and easy to find with a quick Google for anyone who is unsure what the right thing to do is. nhs.uk |
