That’s useful. Thank you for posting the link, LMH. I feel reassured that I did the right thing while I was testing positive.

Yeah, thats what I find odd. I am staying home until I return a negative test, even though I could be out and about if I wished. It does seem irresponsible.

I think we are where we were with colds ..... I feel OK therefore I will carry on as normal
I had hoped that covid would make us more aware of our actions and the impact they have on others, and for a time I think it did
but no longer

To me it's do as you would be done by - would you want the waitress serving your elderly mother to be CV19 Positive, or the nurse looking after your sick spouse or the teacher your immunocompromised child adores? If you don't want to risk someone you love catching it - don't go out and about and spread it just because it isn't illegal not to!

I agree EP - I think some people are behaving as if it's a cold. It may also depend on their employer's attitude. We are being discouraged from coming in to work if we have any symptoms - regardless of a test - and we are not to come in if we test positive. I do think the LFTs should still be free - we are being given them at work at the moment, but that can't go on forever.

I managed to get a box of tests from work last week as I knew I had had contact with someone who had subsequently tested positive. I don't know many who still routinely test. I was testing when I felt under the weather, before last week, then I tested each day.

I didn't like going out yesterday, I felt really paranoid about it! If it had happened when I had been at home with the children I would have neighbours to have help me. It's really hard to know what to do. The advice is to avoid people, that's what I did, I avoided people. It's so open to interpretation from people, one person's view of avoiding people is different to others. I know some who think it's OK to carry on and some people don't bother to test at all.
