Surely it's almost 14 days since the contact? I didn't realise that the clock started at the point of test and trace contact rather than the original contact

The xmas ones are almost nice enough to make me buy more even though I don't need them GM. They have a filter and adjustable nose thing too.

Blimey that's a bit of a delayed reaction jenny.

I know! It was on a flight back from Portugal (which was added to the quarantine list shortly afterwards but not at the time) and the tracker person said it should have been from that date. But S didn’t know (obviously) and it wasn’t the advice to quarantine. It’s all a bit of a muddle it seems. Anyway, she’s fine so that’s the main thing.

Cheers Jenny i’ll See what happens, my organisation will check with phe if I haven’t heard by tomorrow as we’ve now had a few confirmed cases.

It’s definitely from last contact so will be 9 days for me.

I went to Zizzis last night, probably the busiest place I’ve been in and the least safe I’ve felt since March. Very noisy and with all tables full, only one open door. They have outdoor tables but weren’t using them (it was cool but not cold). No masks on any staff, just sanitising their hands frequently. Not sure I’ll hurry back there, it seemed like a prime place to spread Covid to me. I’ll stick with quiet pubs and outdoors for now I think...

Fleecy, we have heard similar reports about the Prezzo in our village, and it's in an old building with very low ceilings, so not ideal

I felt quite vulnerable in a pub recently where the staff were not wearing masks. Sanitising hands is one part of the routine, but sharing breathing space with customers felt unsafe. And the distancing wasn't great either.

I ate out yesterday lunchtime in a familiar setting. The staff all wore at least masks, but what surprised me was how many older people were there. I would think the average age of the other diners was 65+

The Italian we went too felt safe as we had loads of room around us even though staff were not wearing masks - they were with us seconds at a time
