Mr LF and the kids have just been to socially distant stand near a funeral (I had work). Much loved member of the community and they did him proud with a sort of distant impromptu tribute at the entrance to the cemetary but only a few mourners allowed. Such a shame he couldn't have been honoured as he deserved. It was a non covid death as far as we know but still covid has affected how those left behind can cope and how they can reach out for support. My heart goes out to the family amd all those in a similar position. |

Another outbreak at a meat packing plant: bbc.co.uk There does seem to be something about it as an environment that makes it more likely to be passed on than in other food factories. Sounds like the owners were doing and are doing the right thing though. |

Gooner, is there an email address for your doctors' surgery? That worked quite well for ours. They do use patient access too, thigh not all the features. You can reorder repeat medication that way though. Now waiting for the promised letter updating those shielding on what they can and can't do after the end of this month. |

it is a curiosity that so many food related plants have been the site of outbreaks. I wonder if the temperature within the environment is more favorable to the virus or something of that sort?

I was wondering whether it was something to do with humidity. Ditto transmission in closed spaces generally.

It seems to be meat plants in particular that seem to be most often affected, but I wonder whether it's because so little can be automated when you're dealing with the variations of anatomy, so you have lots of people at close quarters shouting to be heard, whereas making biscuits might have 10 people in a huge area.
