Tim, what has been done with the ashes? is there an opportunity in the future to have ceremony with the scattering of the ashes?

The UK's coronavirus alert level has been downgraded from four to three.

Under level three, the virus is now considered to be "in general circulation" and there could be a "gradual relaxation of restrictions".

Previously transmission was considered "high or rising exponentially".

I'm reassured that the CMOs are making this statement - especially after reports that they previously refused to acquiesce to political pressure to reduce it a few weeks ago.

Of course, it will be used as justification for relaxation that not everyone will be comfortable with, but that's the world we live in.

BBC:

Health Secretary Matt Hancock was "incorrect" to say Leicester was in the midst of a Covid-19 outbreak, the city's head of public health says.

Ivan Browne says the city has "started to see a surge" in cases but that "this is not an outbreak".

Outbreaks (or whatever word you want to use) in Wales, Kirklees and Leicester - that have been reported. I don't feel any less at risk.

EP - I hope that you can have a safe visit with your mum.

My FiL's ashes will eventually be scattered on either Arthur's Seat or the Pentland Hills.

Both were favourite walking haunts. Both can be seen (on a good day) from our beach here in Fife.

On the same day of the scattering, we will have a celebration of life get-together.

Guessing we're looking at 2021 now. But no matter. Needs must.

BiL been 'released' from a West End show as they will not open at all next year. The expectation being there will be little or no tourists in the near to medium term. Released as in he has been playing for years but is a contractor, so no payment.

Tim, that can still be a 'good' day, the family all met on the first anniversary of FiL's death and people actually relaxed a little and talked more than the previous year.
