My son fractured his wrist In the early days of lockdown and was seen without any wait at minor injuries got an X-ray and a temporary cast.

MiL though was due in for a follow up cystoscopy in May and that was postponed and not yet rescheduled. I know this is playing on her mind. Lockdown though seems to have done her no harm as she had had no illness. Falls or hospital admissions since late December. Last year they were a monthly occurrence.

I can't seem to get through to my doctors on the phone (no answer for up to 10 mins on several occasions over the past week), their website doesn't function at all and they are not available for appointment booking through the NHS app. As I can't just turn up in person atm I may be forced to go to the UTC at the local hospital soon, great!

That's not good Gooner. I'm not sure what the situation is with my doctor re them answering the phones - I did have to phone up about a prescription issue, but the automated phone system directed me to email them - to be fair they did call me back the next day.

Received a letter saying I was due for a smear test just before lockdown - by the time I called up a few days later, they were only taking emergency appointments, based on the fact I haven't received a follow-up letter (as I have in the past if I haven't made an appointment within a few weeks) I assume screening programmes (or at least some) are suspended.

Good news re being allowed in one day a week LN! I've also been allowed in one day a week (no one else in our team office, and I'd guess at less than 50 people overall in a building where there's normally circa 1200).

Gooner have you tried 111? They may have details or numbers that they can try?

Well this has been a shit day for wfh. Took me half an hour to get logged on. Performance has been painfully slow at best all morning. Another half hour to log on after lunch only to find that things are even slower.

Have run tests and allegedly it’s not my broadband fault albeit I Suspect It is. Some colleagues though have similar issues.

It’s not been this bad since the early days of lockdown.

Got a letter to say my routine smear test was due, called today and got an appointment for next week. Pretty good!
