Had to get the tube into and back from work as I needed to bring a switch that wouldn't really fit on the bike. I think they're running more often now and as I travelled outside rush hour they were almost empty. Nearly everyone was wearing some sort of face covering. I did find it a bit sweaty and uncomfortable, wouldn't like to do a long journey!

That's good to hear. I'm still hoping I'll be able to cycle but I don't think I'll be going in until Jan when cycling won't be so nice.

I am assuming my NHS dentist won't be charging for PPE

I've negotiated working in the office one day a week from now on to break up the WFH otherwise I think my mental health will deteriorate. It was so nice to see other people and have a bit of a natter :-) I plan to cycle unless I absolutely have to get the tube.

I'm so lucky to work near enough to do this and have such an understanding management!

USB: if that were the case, the dental practice's responsibilities should certainly include informing a patient of such charges, if they were being applied.

Definitely. At lest with the NHS banding for fees it will be obvious if they try that

Nicola Sturgeon has recognised rightly that we have three serious "emergencies" in Scotland.

Education, general physical/mental health and the economy.

To deal with them, we must take action now - even if this means taking more risks with regards to Covid.

We don’t have an NHS at the moment - other than if you have CV19. My sister had to attend for some emergency treatment & she said place was deserted. We have no screening, no regular dental or optical checks or treatment. We are storing up way way bigger issues unless we open up soon.

My mother’s cancer treatment (radiotherapy) has been uninterrupted despite Covid, and she has been visiting the GP to have various dressings redressed regularly.

But I guess bad luck if anything less life threatening.
