That being the case I'm happy that you've corrected my mistake and apologise if anyone feels misled.
If you read back (and I don't post that often on here) you'll find that I'm as hard on the antivaxxers and refusniks as the next person. In fact I wrote a blog about the antivax movement before Covid was even a thing.
Just to make my position clear.
However.
Some time ago I had a fmail conversation with Fetch in which he stated that it was his job to ensure that everyone who used the site felt happy and safe. I felt that the link fell into the area where that might be an issue. It's one thing to read what his family said to the BBC (and yes I agree it was courageous), or to read a twitter thread. it's quite another to see a clickable video of someone in such distress.
Again to be clear: If you read my historical blogs, and comments I've made elsewhere you'll find I'm hardly a shrinking violet when it comes to human suffering and I've seen my fair share of blood and gore.
Was I personally upset? Yes. Was I aware that there are people who visit this thread who have had relatives die of this disease? Again yes. However, It may be that they are made of sterner "stuff" than I am.
I flagged it to the mod but I didn't want to be seen to be going behind someone's back. I've had experience of that and found it very disrespectful.
In light of the response I'm rather wishing I hadn't bothered. I did say it wasn't personal.

Please continue to care Fellrunning, anyone who reads your posts and blogs on fetch knows that you would only have reported the link with the best of intentions.
I have watched the link and whilst I understand why you have flagged it, in my mind it was somebody coherent and not in their worst symptoms, although I do understand there is the distress if knowing that he has passed away.
I think overall, it does help to highlight how worrying the anti vac movement is, but not in too distressing a way. Having been working on covid test sites for the last 12 months I have seen people in pretty poor states in comparison to this guy, so I hope that I haven't become too cynical and hardened myself to not feel compassion.
Maybe a compromise would be for fetch to put a warning up stating that some may find the link distressing?
Anyway, as I said, it is obvious that you're only reporting it from a position of caring for other people in the site, so thank you again for caring.

I'm not sure I'd agree he is in "such distress" - he's voluntarily making his own video blog to defiantly tell anyone watching that this is still no worse than cold/flu and something we all have to live with, before stating that the vaccine is more dangerous.
From 1:08 onwards he's not talking about any of his symptoms/experience and making provably false claims about the virus and the vaccine.
I read more than I post on here, and I've always had you down as a very level headed, rational person. So I do respect your views, and that you've posted your concerns on the thread (though I am puzzled as to why you redacted the username - what's the point?)
But on this occasion I am struggling to agree with the argument you're putting up. I think it's very important to see how dangerous misinformation can be, and this is a strong example of how warped the minds are in the antivax camp.
People are dying because of this bizarre ideology. I don't think we should be hiding from this evidence, but I fully understand if you would prefer not to listen to his defiant words.

I redacted the name because I didn't want to appear personal or confrontational.
As I said: I've learned my lesson. I wont put my head over the parapet in future....

I am glad I didn’t click on the link, don’t do Twitter.
I don’t think distressing views fade with time.

i agree it is not a distressing video, if I'd made a video 12 hours after having had my jab I would have looked much much worse than he did. It does highlight how perfectly fine can turn to total tradgey in a few days.
