I'm also seeing plenty of people in real life doing regular testing without getting their knickers in a twist about it.

I did a test Friday before I met with work friends for meal & drink. Going to ones baby shower today it’s outdoors but I’ve done my test again this morning. It’s not pleasant but it’s a small price to pay for some peace of mind. All of the new requirements in life I dislike but I do it because it’s the right thing to do to try to reduce transmission. I believe I had covid early last year if not it was horrific took me 5 months to feel well and to run without thinking I was dying I then tested positive in November but very mild just tired really and was back to running in 2 weeks feeling great (although HR was elevated) which fits with subsequent infections reducing in strength. I have antibodies to infection. |

As with politics, religion, etc, there are a myriad of different views on any subject. In the UK, I am guessing that all four administrations' aspirations will be a world without masks, isolating and LFTs/PCRs (but hopefully still with more kindness and compassion). It will be interesting to see what benchmarks they decide upon when reaching decisions on when to lift restrictions |

Tim I wouldn't mask while rowing - outdoors is very low risk. But I'm happy to mask in my local shops and will continue to avoid busy rooms if ventilation is poor

As others said rowing is outdoors, no masks required. Anyone who is NHS is being tested regularly so actually testing is also being done. So you're all doing the protocols. Well done. Thanks.

I too regard outside being very low risk and it's one I'm willing to take. I am very much enjoying socialising and exercising with others outdoors now restrictions are lifted. I am still very uncomfortable mixing indoors, and have windows and doors open if anyone comes to our house (especially my dad). I avoid public indoor settings that don't have adequate ventilation, unless they're shops - where I spend the minimum time possible in them (whilst wearing a mask). I can't see my behaviour changing for a while. |

Everyone I know is still wearing masks indoors and testing if required for work. The ONS survey is for GB, so covers Scotland as well. Looking at the vaccine hesitancy stats, I'm reassured that even the youngest age groups are happy to be vaccinated (less than 10% hesitancy). |

One of the carers who looked after my MiL on wed to fri has tested positive. We have just been told by the carers and suggested we get her tested. Not sure how isolation should work for someone who has four care visits each day and as a minimum needs shopping dropped off. Getting a test will involve close contact for at least on but in reality two others as my wife struggles to aid her mum who has mobility issues. |

That's a tricky one Baz. I would hope that means one carer that only goes to your MIL, but I doubt it will.
