Test centre gave us boxes of LFTs, even though I told them we only needed to do one test each for a gig. So, rest will go under the bed too.

The think about the theatre's protocol is that what they are asking for on performance night isn't actual "evidence".

Someone could simply go onto NHS Scotland, enter a test kit reference, state "negative" without doing a test, and get NHS acknow of a negative test. And along they go to the theatre with the negative acknow

but Tim as with so many things in life we have to work on an element of trust
you trust the taxi driver bus driver other road users to be sober etc

I saw (think it was a Zoe email) that the symptoms now are very confusing with men and women reporting different symptoms and also differences in young and old too

A self administered test, by definition, is based on trust and honesty. If we can't trust each other in a pandemic not to fake tests then human beings are doomed.

Lots opening up, which is great. :-) G

When I did a Lateral Flow test I am not certain that I carried it out properly. I did my best but I did wonder about the process. It was negative, but did I do it correctly?

I do the LFT for my peace of mind that I am not unknowingly risking the people I care about.

I do my best to do it correctly, the fact I am gagging and my eyes water suggests I hit the spots that is needed - but I have done 2 PCR tests and have to do those myself too so I figure on that level we are all just doing our best - I had one positive test so I must have done that right.

As EP said we have to trust people to do the right thing it would be very easy to say its negative if it isn't but then why do the test if that is the case, you could just scan the kit QR and not even bother doing it.

But for me I do it for my peace of mind so faking it wouldn't help me.

I did a lateral flow test this morning as I wondered if I was still infectious. It was negative so I should be safe once my self-isolation finishes.

No difference between this guy and Fopp in my eyes. Completely avoidable death, lost his life because he fell for gibberish about his immune system being able to do the job for him. Had no valid reason to not take the vaccine which evidence shows would overwhelmingly likely have saved his life.

Every so often I go downstairs and find a LFT on the table, I think my teens basically do one when they’re bored. I do one occasionally if I’m planning to socialise or have contact with lots of people
