I'm just waiting for "selfish youth of today" to get blamed by the papers for the government's handling of the entire pandemic.

We have had an update on WFH and for my role. The central message is we will be back from 9th August if Scotland follows Englands move, however for the role I am in, default will remain WFH apart from a few situations and you need to make advance arrangements etc.

Came for a tattoo today and all safety measures still in place. I was advised I had to wear a mask (I would anyway) and I was able to do a LFT before I came (not a formal requirement although they ask if you can you do)

I think numbers are going down in Scotland because the schools broke up beginning of July.

Will be interesting to see if numbers start to fall in England now children on holiday or will opening up cloud the issue.

I was really disappointed this morning to see my local sainsburys had removed their perspex screens between the 3 self service checkouts. Why go to the bother of doing that? It doesn't restrict anyone, or create any more hassle.

When I approached, there was a person at each end till, but the middle one was free. Suffice to say I waited until one of the other people left and took an end one.

Ours schools are still in this week. I ran past one senior school this morning. There were big signs on all the gates announcing that the school was closed as they didn't have enough teachers and lessons were all being done on Teams. Kids were still going in to all the other local schools.
