I checked with my friend and it told her to self isolate until coming Thursday.
She has now deleted it off her phone as the only likely "contact" must have been passing walkers on top of the ridge. She has done a lateral flow test and is negative.
I am not fussed, I haven't been inside with her or near enough for it to be a concern...
I do think it shows the pitfalls of the system though!!!
Technically, we now all have to isolate AND tell everyone else we have bern in contact with to do the same... Very tenuous in this case!!!
Common sense has been applied.

In any case: she got pinged yesterday to self isolate till Thursday, which means the supposed contact took place last Monday? She could have infected a multitide of people since then had it been a true close contact!!!

There is no requirement to tell anyone else anything Hann. The app is currently supposed to report contact with an infected person for fifteen minutes or more 2 m or less - doesn’t sound like that would be passing walkers. The delay is in people testing and getting the results, not a fault in the app.

No requirement for you to isolate in those circumstances either.

Out for my run today 2 buses passed me and I’d say everyone had masks on and also passed couple of newsagents and saw people in and out with masks.

Hopefully majority of people will continue to be sensible.

Eldest has been told to self-isolate with the rest of her class - horrid timing as it's their last ever week of primary school. :(

Fingers crossed that everyone in England shows some personal responsibility and that in Scotland things don't get worse as we move to a lower level of restrictions too.
