Christmas done and dusted. Had all the offspring home yesterday .Had full Christmas dinner, games and presents. Eldest has to go home today. 50% of the family are working on Christmas day itself so we brought it forward.

We're all off out for a curry for lunch on the 25th, and then we'll wave them goodbye as they head north to Scotland on the 26th to spend a few days visiting Son-i-L's Mum. Have to say, it's made the season very relaxed and stress-free. We may make this our regular Christmas. Thoughts with you and yours jk |

Just the 2 of us on Christmas day itself - though mr panad will be out working for a lot of it - for the first time since DD1 and 2 were born. They are both arriving late boxing day with their partners and staying until Sunday afternoon. We’ll do Christmas meal on Saturday..l

Mince Pikelet
Christmas will start with a mate or two dropping in for a bacon butty in the morning. A bit if company while I peel the sprouts! OH ‘s sister, bro-in-law and 2 kids will be over for dinner and hopefully mum-in-law if she’s mobile enough (currently in respite care after a fall). That should take the head count to 8, enough to invoke emergency chairs protocol 😊 No time for running, I’ll be too busy. But Boxing Day brings the traditional club cross country meet up. Lots of mud and a pint in the pub after watching the traditional Handsworth sword dancers display. |

57.5 Days of Xmas
Staying with my friend of 50 years and our wives, we've successfully made efforts to spend more time together in the last couple of years despite living at opposite ends of the country. Xmas lunchtime in the pub (a fine English habit) followed by cooking up a Thai menu. |
