Eldest has to go home today. 50% of the family are working on Christmas day itself so we brought it forward.

They are both arriving late boxing day with their partners and staying until Sunday afternoon. We’ll do Christmas meal on Saturday..l

A bit if company while I peel the sprouts! OH ‘s sister, bro-in-law and 2 kids will be over for dinner and hopefully mum-in-law if she’s mobile enough (currently in respite care after a fall). That should take the head count to 8, enough to invoke emergency chairs protocol 😊 No time for running, I’ll be too busy. But Boxing Day brings the traditional club cross country meet up. Lots of mud and a pint in the pub after watching the traditional Handsworth sword dancers display.

Xmas lunchtime in the pub (a fine English habit) followed by cooking up a Thai menu.
