Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Daughter is hosting tomorrow in their new (to them) family home.

She is vegan and there are a few vegetarians in the party, so I'm prepping the turkey crown for us carnivores today, so all she needs to do is pop it on the oven tomorrow, leaving her time to do something special for herself.

My daughter and granddaughter are on their way, nearly here 😁
Mr jaks will prepare the veg in the morning and I’ll go for a quick run whilst D and GD are sleeping (we get up a lot earlier than they do).

Present opening when they get up, bacon and or egg rolls for breakfast then I’ll cook a late Christmas lunch/dinner.

Can’t wait for them to arrive 😁

Hugs @jabberknit Christmas curry sounds like a nice new tradition though

Friends over here on a rolling basis on Christmas day and Boxing day, cooking roast chicken as turkey put me in A&E on Boxing day 2020 with stitches in my thumb (and I don't even like it), and ds2 will hopefully be awake for some of it. ds1 isn't with us for the first year ever. I'm looking forward to his travelling photos though, glad he's off having adventures :)

Shopping is done! I've even managed to get the inevitable forgotten item and picked up an elusive parcel from the Post Office. No need to leave the house until Boxing Day now :-)

Just been to the annual Christmas Eve charity race in the next village through the grounds of a local public school. Very slow and steady with lots of walking but it's always a good event.

Present wrapping and Carols from Kings on the TV later I think
