Advent calender -missing door?

Maybe I'm not up on the ways of advent calendars but I thought there was another door for today the 25th? Or is that not a thing and I have totally misunderstood the whole advent calendar thing.

I think traditional Advent Calendars only have 24 days, as they're a countdown to Xmas Day. I know some commercial calendars do have 25 days though sometimes. I've got two calendars this year, both have just 24 days. |

As ever it’s the simple questions that lead down so many rabbit holes. Apparently there are several choices. Calendars typically start on 1st Dec but the 1st Sunday of Advent can also be the start, and they can end on either the 24th or 25th. They’re not a proper ancient thing either. The advent calendars we had as kids, with the religious pictures behind the doors and no chocolates, always just had the 24 doors.

@Funky Chicken to get the badge you have to enter every draw as well as opening the door, even if you don't want to win that day's prize. Finally got the badge this by doing the extra step .

Will have to remember for 2025! Thanks for the tip. |
