Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Work tomorrow, then off until 2nd Jan. Quiet Christmas eve planned, might go and collect a few more Conquercise zones with OH. Drive to PIL on Christmas Day and stay there 'til Boxing Day. Meal out with them. Don't want to ask the neighbours to do the Kitties so we have a good excuse not to stay longer. Will need my Christmas runs to cope with the hours and hours of sitting.

Sherry and I are on out own this year for the first time. I’ll report back as to whether that was a good thing or not as we’re used to hosting or visiting.

Both daughters are doing their own thing in their respective parts of the country. They all came to us last year.

I have been given a pass to go to parkrun, so I shall leave Sherry in bed and we’ll do presents on my return.

Probably telly for us too.

I’m not exactly sure where we’ll be for Christmas but mostly in the air. Leave uk 24th and arrive NZ 26th.

Driving to my parents in Edinburgh on Christmas Eve but don't get to put my 'out of office' on until 5pm so hopefully no last-minute panicky emails from clients.

Husband and I doing Christmas Day parkrun for the first time ever (plan is Edinburgh/Cramond, fingers crossed the weather will play ball) then back to folks' place for breakfast, presents, videogaming, Christmas meal and Christmas specials on TV (some good ones this year), in that order.

Unusually will be back home in Newcastle before New Year as we want a bit of time to ourselves before a big adventure in January. I've also got a milestone birthday on 3rd January so will be doing some celebrating of that.

Our oldest has just set off to fetch our youngest back tomorrow then we have the full set of kids home, plus the in-laws who arrived earlier today. Both of our daughter-out-laws will be joining us tomorrow.

Bingo! Full house! Looking forward to having everyone here to a degree but I’m planning to spend some time out running or in the shed on the rower as beating people is frowned upon.

We're just not doing Christmas this year due to circs. Couldn't face it.

DD1 and Son-i-L are driving up from that there London on the afternoon of the 24th. We're all off out for a curry for lunch on the 25th, and then we'll wave them goodbye as they head north to Scotland on the 26th to spend a few days visiting Son-i-L's Mum.
Have to say, it's made the season very relaxed and stress-free. We may make this our regular Christmas.

The reason is so dreadfully sad @jabberknit :-( I hope it goes as well as it can.

We are having a very relaxed Christmas, just the two if us, we don't make a big thing of it.
