idio
Buzzard sis your bike should come with reflectors as it's illegal for a shop to sell a bike with out them.

Thanks Idio, will wait and see what is on it. Makes more sense to take it into Evans with me to see what lights fit best etc anyway. Went to library with children instead of town and even found a tri training book, and a couple on race cycling and swimming too :-)

I lurve the look of this. I didn't need one before, but having seen it I think I NEED it NOW :) (along with the new 405 for running)

buy.garmin.com

Bit pricey though. Anyone else use one ?

I use the Edge 205 and would love to upgrade it but can't really justify the cost (may wait until the price drops). I think my mate is going to get one though.

I've been cycling more, and plan to ride to work at least twice a week from now on. I've also signed up for the London to Brighton...so, I'm buying myself a new bike.

I don't do off road as such, just the odd trail and certainly no mad hills! I cycle along roads, a few hills but nothing more taxing than Richmond park really. The bumpiest I get is bumping off kerbs. Is a hybrid best? My current bike (cheapy one) is so heavy and cumbersome, I need something lighter.

Sounds like a hybrid is a good idea - the thinner and smoother the tyres the faster you go on a smooth surface. Having said that, some cyclists train on a heavy bike in the off season to because it gets them fitter quicker.

Thanks - a colleague said that he found doing London to Brighton tough on a mountain bike, and had to stop and get smoother tyres fitted on the way down there, so that makes sense.

I could have done with an Edge this morning :-) I don't know my way around here so was just aimlessly riding into roads whenever I saw them... still a nice 50+ kms done without getting truely lost :-) Did end up in two oneway streets when I got into town though lol!
