West Yorkshire Plodder
Chunky I guess I qualify as a slow runner / slow cyclist - got back on my bike recently after ten years of vegetating - it's an MTB but I covered 10 miles out along the road that follows the valley bottom at 11 mph. (My leg muscles which are cycling-only probably couldn't cope with 44 miles at the moment, but I can do upto 15 at a time without too much impact on my running)

One other thing - my legs seemed to adapt to cycling and running fairly quickly (comparing my first session and my second session) - I've since had a lull in cycling since I had a couple of road race runs to do, but I'll be introducing it with an aim of eventually having two sessions a week ontop of three runs.

idio / H 0-S I suppose a long commute by default becomes part of the training, at least it is for me which is the problem, at least for the moment I'm defo overtraining!

YP your training regime sounds like the one I want, interesting to see how it all goes.

Was measured up for my lovely bike today and idio, I, er, didn't need to convince myself for long that the Tri starter package was very much worth while, especially when he agreed to swap in bike shoes for the running shoes as I stocked up in the sales.

Can't wait to get going. First Tri is the women's event in July, then the London Duathlon in September :-)

Well done Buzz :-) Be prepared, cycling is even more addictive than running :-) Soon you will be facing the dilemma I often face: ride or run...

Ahhh, this one is in London JJ, where I am for the night, to leave for a drive to Holland early tomorrow morning. I am hoping the storm will die down a bit or I shall be VERY seasick tomorrow :-(
