The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
I like this running lark. Lots. I'm OK at it, and I constantly surprise myself. My dad tells me no-one in the family has ever been a runner "unless they're running away from danger" and he can't think where I get it from. Suspicions abound that I'm actually the wrong daughter and that my parents picked up the wrong one from the hospital all those years ago.
So - 2011 was a jolly fine year running-wise. Not one, but two marathon PBs and 42 minutes taken off my 2010 marathon time. And a VLM GFA qualifying time. Yippee! 2012 didn't start well when I broke my ankle. That meant I couldn't do Seville Marathon which I had been training for. Boo hiss. I managed to run Brighton marathon less than 3 months after the break but it was bloody hard work. So, now I'm trying to get back into training and back into PB land. I don't like being a bit crap.
In between all this running I cycle, spin, see a personal trainer, do weights, buy clothes and shoes, drink wine and eat pretty much non-stop.
