Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

DIY Diva Ill for couple weeks prior to the race. Very pleased to have run in the end. Took it VERY easy. Stayed with Mike for first 27k then joined John for a bit before heading off hence odd splits and huge negative split. Chilly start to roasting finish. Felt like a club race with participants being sensible and not cutting across you or doing silly stuff. Massive clump of runners around the 3 hour pacer :-O Wonderful to see such ability and the speed of the leaders so close up. Lovely to be able to shout across the road and support our fast chums. Raar. Marathon 27.

jammykenyian Happy overall. Ran a very good easy first half but panicked when I went through chip timer feeling i went out too slow so picked up the pace between miles 13 and 18. I shouldn't have done so as the day was now at 20c and the final 8 miles were tough in the heat so i slowed dramatically.
Overall very happy for my second attempt which I completed with a sprint finish in the Olympic Stadium in Seville. Very well organised race with excellent goodie bags. Entry was only €21 and I must have been in profit after the great goodie bags and all the bottles of water and energy drinks given to us on route. Important for us pale northern europeans to factor the heat in to our predicted time for this marathon. THUMBS UP FOR SEVILLE MARATHON
