Cheers Glenn. I had a look at the Giants, and proportion wise they're not too bad, but the smallest size is just slightly too big for me. But thanks for the suggestion.

My Canyon is set up with a longish low position. Mostly because I like it that way. I suspect that most bikes with the next size up and/or a longer stem will do the job you want.

If I go a size up I can get the reach without too long a stem, but will end up far too upright. The recommendation is that I need just over 500mm stack height, which for most bikes is slammed on the smallest frame they do. But most at that size have a reach of around 365-370mm, and that would require a 140mm stem or longer to not be bunched up, which isn't going to be ideal for handling in crits. I guess it's the problem of being something of a geometric outlier - short overall and with proportionally short legs! But having the flexibility to get fairly low at the front, it would be nice to be able to exploit it. |

You could have one made. A bit pricey but you ride a fair bit so per mile or hour of enjoyment it might be worth it. I think you can get various grades of custom carbon these days as well as titanium or steel. (mmmmm custom titanium bike)

I think that may end becoming one of the options, but there is part of me that thinks I may get more for less if I can get something that isn't bespoke.

MM, was your bike fit done using an existing bike of yours or some other method?

Would this orrobikes.com be any good, MM, if I've understood what you're after? The stack is 509.8mm and the reach 361.9mm I'm short (165cm) with a long body and short legs; it seems to suit me (the XS). |

Cath, it was done on my existing Ribble Nero Corsa, but swapping things like my stem. They had a universal rig, but I didn't use it. Actually though that does hint at something I discovered late yesterday. The Ribble is a rebadged Dedacci (sp?). It seems that Italian brands almost universally have the geometry I'm after, whilst those from elsewhere almost entirely don't. So my search now is largely restricted to Italian frames. |

I have a 47cm Orbea and we swapped the stem, its perfect now. Italian or Spanish are your best bets for your geometry I would say.
