Winded
It's also easy to see and to understand.
Skinny=good climber, probably
Muscular= more likely to be a good sprinter/ time trials = can ride fast on the flat
Not always exactly right but so close it may as well be true. And true for more average people too "I lost weight and now I fly up hills" is something I have heard people say. One day perhaps I shall say it too.

I get fed dust on climbs by lasses who must weigh three times as much as I do. As MM says, there are two sides to that equation.

quick question about armour tyres and slime-filled inner tubes:

is having both on a wheel a sensible 'belt and braces' approach that gives extra protection against punctures, or is there some technical reason why one shouldn't have both?

if part of the answer is that together they'll add a bit of weight, then bear in mind that not having to stop to fix a puncture on my commute is way more important to me than any speed I might lose, which in my case is not likely to be noticeable.

Any particular reason why one shouldn't have both?

sorry, should have made clear that i've got amour tyres already and i'm more than happy with them. was just wondering whether also using slime inner tubes has any particular advantages or disadvantages.

No idea on the specific answer but I too have yet to have to stop for roadside repairs using those tyres. Crossing everything to ensure the tyre gods are not paying attention

There's no reason why not Gordon if you want to absolutely minimise the puncture risk (bizarrely i have the set up you describe on the pram for that reason) but I imagine that the slime files tubes are more for psychological reassurance than practical reasons
